This is one of the first albums that was ever introduced to me in the Funeral Doom category, and although it was an introductory album for me, it has remained an absolute favorite of mine ever since. Don't let the genre tag fool you, although this is overall a Funeral Doom album, it has many more aspects to it. The songs range from ultra slow and desperate crawls, to short bursts of fast Death Metal like periods, to very spacious and atmospheric passages like that in "The Blood of the Eyes", which to this day is a very special and personal song to me. This album has a little bit of something for everyone (everyone into this type of music, that is). A must listen if you're a fan of Doom!
